Swami Pitambarananda was a senior monk of the Ramakrishna Order known for his decades of scriptural teaching, spiritual instruction, and service in several centers of the Order. He was closely associated in recent years with Advaita Ashrama, where he gave extensive classes on Vedanta and scripture, and he was also respected as a speaker and translator of Vedanta texts.
